Maintenance visits to care for an automated gate system can vary in costs. Factors influencing maintenance costs include the distance from the chosen gate engineer and the automation system in use. For a suitable level of upkeep to ensure a long life and reliable operation, maintenance can cost around £150 to £300 per year. During a service, a good installer will check that the gates safety features work properly and lubricate moving parts like hinges and wheels. They will also test that the motors are running properly and that all controls operate as expected.
